Our Commitment

Attune is designed with privacy as a core principle. Your relationship data is sensitive, and we treat it that way. Unlike 22 out of 25 relationship apps that failed privacy tests, we built Attune to be completely private from day one.

What We Collect

Data stored on YOUR devices and iCloud:

  • Your profile name
  • Daily check-ins (mood, gratitude)
  • Shared moments (photos, notes)
  • App preferences and settings

Data we can access:

None. We cannot read your check-ins, gratitudes, shared moments, or any relationship data. Your data never touches our servers.

How Data Syncs

Attune uses Apple's CloudKit to sync data between you and your partner:

  • Data syncs directly through Apple's iCloud infrastructure
  • Only you and your paired partner can access shared data
  • We have no server that stores or processes your data
  • All sync is encrypted end-to-end by Apple

AI Processing

Attune's AI insights feature:

  • Runs entirely on your device using Apple's Foundation Models
  • No data is sent to external AI services (OpenAI, etc.)
  • We never see the insights generated for you
  • Processing happens locally on your iPhone

Third-Party Services

We do not share your data with:

  • Advertising networks
  • Analytics platforms (we only use Apple's anonymized App Analytics)
  • Data brokers
  • Any third party

What We Do Collect

For app improvement purposes, we receive anonymized, aggregated data from Apple's App Analytics:

  • Crash reports (no personal data)
  • General usage statistics (feature popularity, not individual behavior)
  • Device types (for compatibility testing)

This data is anonymized by Apple and cannot be traced back to you.

Data Deletion

To delete your data:

  1. Unpair from your partner in Settings
  2. Delete the app from your device
  3. Your data will be removed from iCloud

Since we never have your data, there's nothing for us to delete on our end.

Children's Privacy

Attune is designed for adults in relationships. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 17.

Changes to This Policy

We'll notify you of significant changes to this policy through the app and update the “Last updated” date above.
